Happy Day 83

The day I effed up massively at work and I feel so crap that I don't want to face anyone. In other words, the day my castle came tumbling down off the top of this Happy Hill.

Today is Tuesday; September 20th

The day was extremely rough as I was still feeling under the weather and I wasn't able to take my lil one to the centre nor to the physiotherapy session (although I arranged a taxi to pick him up and drop him at physio and the guy cancelled last minute...argh..!!). School was extremely rough too because I found out that I sent the wrong homework with the students and it was NOT RIGHT..!! I felt very bad about the mistake and I felt like a failure for missing that out on my main plan.

I also planned to stay after school, however, I failed to do that too because I felt extremely horrible. I decided to go home to relax to find out that there wasn't any electricity at home and my lil one and his cousin were sitting around enjoying the heat wave. I was extremely fed up..!!! And what made it all even worse is that the orders which I was meant to collect after school have been postponed to after Radio.

After Radio, I had to wait to collect my orders, drop an order all the way in the city centre and get back home to an empty house where the little ones were extremely tired and had no supervision. My mum left to attend a little gathering and my sister was at the hospital. I felt very exhausted and extremely drained as soon as I got home, but I had to feed the little one and put the rest to sleep. I felt all alone this day as if no one is there to help me out, I had no support and no one to talk to. Life is difficult as it is and no one is trying to make it easier.

At least I got a bag of coffee from Ethiopia from my dearest friend Maria as well as earrings. more earrings to my collection and a gift from France from another great friend Irina.

Have a Great Evening Lovelies for now, I need to rest my eyes (^_^)

Happy Day 78

The most awkward day without my lil man..!! Although I did quite a lot and I was able to allow some great moments of realization, being alone is very difficult.

Today is Thursday; September 15th

The first night without my lil one has passed quite swiftly, although I couldn't sleep straight away and I was both out and up till very late. The morning was great but the weather was extremely HOT and SUNNY. My lesson went great and my student was so happy as we will finally have a break after 5 consecutive lessons. She read great and was able to finish all her exercises on time.

After the lesson, I was able to get to my favourite restaurant Papa Costa for a bite and to spend a bit of time with someone special then I went to the empty house where I had no son nor chores to fulfill.
In the evening, I decided to go out again to book my mum a hotel room as a present for her to relax and enjoy a bit of time away from home and the kids; to my surprise, I found out for the first time in my entire life and existence in Sudan, that women are not allowed to stay in a hotel in their own and so my entire plan was screwed thanks to our stupid laws.

I had to get back home completely vexed and extremely livid at my recent discovery but I did not know how to react to such news. I wasn't upset nor sad, I was instead thinking of other ways to fix the situation and make my mum happy about being here.

Have a Great Evening Lovelies for now till I find a better plan on how to have fun here (^_^)

Happy Day 73

The day was filled with unexpected events from beginning to end. I was out and about and I was able to get lots done.

Today is Saturday; September 10th

The day started as early as usual as I had a private lesson in the morning. The weather was extremely hot and the sun was very bright, it was a very difficult morning to be out and I couldn't wait to head home. The best part of the day was that I was able to give my lil one's glasses to the optician's to get fixed after sitting on the side for over a month. And when I went to hand in the glasses, they asked me about my lil one's age which was important because they were handing gifts for youngsters. Once I collected my lil one's unexpected gift, I managed to pick up his medicine from the pharmacy as he ran out a few days ago.

The afternoon was quick and light, I enjoyed a meal with my lil one and my nephew. I completed and handed in my work which was such a relief. And at the end of the afternoon I decided to get some alone time and went to the mall to get my lil one some shirts for eid. It was fun to be able to have some adult time without any children around me, I honestly miss some grownup times because I am constantly surrounded by youngster whether at work or at my private lessons. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming and you end up bursting into action when all you are doing is just trying to get a little bit more comfortable.

It rained this evening, my lil one and I enjoyed listening to the rain while talking about the most random things ever. My lil one tried his clothes and was chuffed by the size of all of the shirts I bought and he was specially happy about one shirt that I kept saying it looked like his grandfather's shirts.

Have a Great Evening Lovelies (^_^)

Happy Day 72

I tried 'Moon Bread' as it was translated by my little student. It tastes amazing and I was so happy to have tried something so special on the festive times of China. (The countdown to the end of the challenge begins @_@)

Today is Friday; September 9th

I woke up half asleep and half disoriented. I had time to drink coffee and ease myself into the morning but I decided to take ages while choosing what I will be wearing this morning. Although I don't have much to choose from, it still took me absolutely ages to get ready then head on my way to the lesson. Getting to the lesson was great as I always enjoy the rickshaw ride anywhere. When I got to my student I found that she had prepared some sort of sweets on the table for me try. The cake is called moon bread and it tasted AMAZING (I got to know later that it is a traditional cake eaten on their Mid-Autumn Festivals, if you want to read more I found some info on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mooncake).

After the lesson I had to head home for more lessons. One of these lessons were with a young very respectful boy who apparently loves my teaching methods and he is always comfortable around me. This student is actually one of the first students I have decided to teach privately. His progress is very important for me and I take his case very personally. His mother approached me and informed me that he doesn't want to go to any other teacher and he feels comfortable only with me. Now at this point I should be over the moon, but I felt a massive weight being put over my shoulders. It is a massive responsibility to take in students and it is more massive when the student doesn't feel comfortable with anyone but you (as a teacher).

On top of all that, I was thinking non-stop about how to create a sense of group among my cheeky monkeys at school, I am glad that I started my holidays as it will give me more time to think about ways to encourage them to become better.

Now I need more sleep, Have a Great Evening Lovelies (^_^)

Happy Day 68

My series of no sleep continues and my dependence on coffee continues too. I keep having less sleep and hence drinking coffee throughout my school day due to my extremely long work day.

Today is Monday; September 5th

School started as usual and my student are all over the place as usual. I was excited today because I didn't start the first lesson and I could enjoy my morning coffee with a bit of peace without having them around me. The day passed quickly and I was extremely happy to come to the end of the day;. It was about time to start panicking about the assembly that my little students are going to conduct on Thursday. Not Prepared anything as of yet.

The private lesson this afternoon was extremely interesting as my student shared with me her new pet grasshopper which was the most intriguing thing I have ever experienced in quite a while. I obviously could not hide my pure joy when I saw the grasshopper but my student could not stop shaking the plastic bottle, where the grasshopper lived, vigorously.

I had to continue the radio topic where I started talking about guys fighting and why they do that. This evening I talked ladies if they like guys who fight and why. Girls are extremely shy when it comes to opening up on live shows. But it went well as usual.

Have a Great Evening Lovelies (^_^)

Happy Day 65

My quiet weekends have turned into a massive money making days with back to back private lessons. I don't get to sleep, play nor spend time with my lil one.

Today is Friday September 2nd

I always have to wake up early on my lazy weekends because I have a lesson in the early morning with my lovely student who is 8 years old and she is from China. My lessons with her is always fun and full of games such as hangman, bingo and stars for chores. After my lesson with her I have another lesson on my list which I decided to cancel because I thought I will be going out to meet someone but I ended up staying at home and conducting my third private lesson as they already paid for it in advance.

After my lessons, I stayed with my lil one for a bit till he fell asleep then I got up to go out. I was extremely bored yesterday for not doing anything special on my weekend and for working hard all the time and having almost NO FREE TIME. So I went to the mall to pay my internet bills, however, the mall was so busy that I decided to ignore the whole thing and walk towards the supermarket where I decided to buy some egg noodles.

At the till, I am normally very nice and would allow anyone to skip the queue to come in front of me, but this time was different as I was waiting for ages to get to the front of the till and the ladies behind me waited for ages too. As soon as I got to the till, 2 ladies appeared from nowhere and one of them put her item with mine, I smiled at her and apologized to her as I will not take her item because it is extremely unfair on everyone who is waiting on the queue. She just looked at me in surprise and took her item slowly at that point the lady behind me repeated the same thing and said sorry and she needs to wait for her turn.

It is interesting how uneventful days can turn us into very quiet unhappy people. I made some noodles in the evening which were nice.

Have a Great Evening Lovelies (^_^)

Happy Day 59

I just realized today that when you can't find something that suits you just go and tailor make it yourself. And no matter how hard you try to believe that others will be as concerned, honest and trustworthy as you want them to be, you are the only person who can complete something as satisfactory as you want it to be.

Today is Saturday; August 27th

Waking up in the morning was the most difficult part of today, as I had to be out of the house by 9:45am then I had to be back by 1pm. I had so many pied lessons to the extend that I felt a bit overwhelmed during my day. I came to the conclusion that I will cancel all my lessons for next week to concentrate a little bit on my lil man and my primary work which is the radio plus the school. Everything was great today although we suffered from a massive power cut in the middle of the hot afternoon but we got over it and the electricity came back just before sunset.

My decision this afternoon was that I will be homeschooling my lil man for the next couple of months till I find him a great school with a great group of teachers. I decided that I will set up the curriculum for him in Arabic and English will be his second language. I don't know how that will work since I work 24/7 but I know I am capable of putting something together that will suit his needs and will be great for him. Wish me LUCK everyone!

I will stop my post here since I am in the middle of putting a curriculum together for my 1st grader and I will update you on how the teaching is going. Have a Great Evening Lovelies (^_^)

Happy Day 49

I haven't felt my journey although I am already on Day 49. Today was the day where I had to breakdown in front of everyone.

Today is Wednesday; August 17th

I went to school as usual early in the morning, Thankfully my morning went smoother than the day before. I actually managed to arrange a pick up with a  rickshaw driver who was great enough to pick me up and drop me off on a daily basis and for a great price too. I was at school pretty early and I was able to d a bit of work. As usual the lessons went well and I was able to be more in control than the days before. I also found a couple of minutes to talk to the deputy head about my lil one's condition with CP and what are the best options for him. While I was having the chat I was extremely good and I was able to control my emotions quite well until out of nowhere I started tearing and The Deputy Head almost teared with me. I didn't just tear, I started crying out of nowhere and I had to prepare for a lesson right after that talk. The teacher was extremely helpful and I was able to find out a lot of information from her that is quite beneficial for my lil one.

The day went quite well but I had to prepare for my private lessons which was extremely tiring again. As you figured out by now, I am planning to cancel some of my private lessons but I have no clue which ones should go out of the window. I did the afternoon lesson and it was slow but it came to an end. The annoying part of the lesson, is that the child's mother was not answering her phone nor his brother who was meant to pick him up. I ended up taking him home on my way to the Radio which was annoying.

The radio was great because I was speaking about stationery which is something I ADORE and I was able to be honest. The funny thing is that while I was doing my radio, I needed someone to help me figure out what I should do to my lil one. Then out of nowhere again I started crying in front of the first person who I talked to. I was able to let out a lot of steam. And I did figure out that I have been strong for a very long time and sometimes I just need to let it all out then I can continue my life again.

My day didn't finish here, as I had another lesson in the evening. As soon as I got home, my student arrived. I started putting my  lil one with me in the class so he doesn't feel left out and abandoned. As soon as I was done with the lesson, I thought y student's parents will be at the door BUT THEY WERE NOT. I had to wait with my hungry lil one until the father came 30 minutes late.

I ended my day with a bowl of cereal some salad and a cup of lemon juice and went to sleep. Have a great Evening Lovelies (^_^)

Happy Day 48

I had a lesson today and I am super SHATTERED..!! I had 2 private lessons after school then again after Radio. And I have decided to drop one (or a few of my lessons for better things)..

Today is Tuesday August 16th

For some awkward reason I was not able to get out of bed this morning, I literally dragged my tired body out of bed and into the bathroom to have a quick shower then prepare my lil one's stuff including his water and lunch box. My lil one surprisingly didn't feel like going anywhere either but he got up after I continuously tickled him. we were out of the house a bit late today but at least my mum was able to come with me to check my lil one's centre and my school. It was lovely having my mum at school and it felt like I was a little child. I was extremely proud and I couldn't hide my excitement.

After my great day at school which was not that bad, I had to run back home for my first private lesson which went quite slow (As the electricity at home was cut since the morning). 5 minutes into my lesson, the electricity decided to come back which was perfect because I was falling asleep at the lesson.

As soon as the student and her mother left my house I had to pack my stuff and head to the radio where I decided to talk about waking up in the morning and why your body will decide to wake you up 5 or 10 minutes before the alarm after getting into a specific routine.

The day was great but I feel the pressure of the first week of school building up and I hope I don't burst at some point. Have a Great Evening Lovelies (^_^)

Happy Day 36

Eventful was the only word I can use to describe this day. I had many things to do although I cancelled all my private lessons to track down my money to cover my expenses. After my dearest friend refused to answer my calls and texts messages.

Today is Thursday; August 4th.

So after a raining night, I couldn't get out of bed to drop my lil one at his centre session. I called his shadow teacher and cancelled today and I also contacted the centre to let him know that he will not be coming. Instead of having a quite morning with my lil one, I decided to get up and go to the Radio to ask for my next month Salary in advance to cover many of my debts since my friend did not pay me for the job I did for her with the English Curriculum for her new school. The sad thing is that she broke my heart after not replying to my many calls and texts and she did not get back to me regarding the payment although I completed all the tasks I had at hand.

I went to the radio hoping that my boss will accept my request and will give me my salary in advance. I waited and waited for long and while I was waiting I had the best breakfast with my colleagues, who I haven't got together with in ages. I talked and interacted with all of them and it was refreshing. The best part is when I gave the request to my manager Taha and he accepted it in no time telling me the most comforting thing I have ever heard "Don't worry about it, we all go through things". On top of all that, I got my cheque and I also got a ride to the bank to issue my cheque.

At the bank, I was waiting for my turn and I was number 343 on the queue which I didn't mind. However, I was approached by the customer service assistant or employee, who helped me reactivated my bank account the day before, and she asked me if she can help me with anything. I told her it was ok but she insisted and took the cheque and my ID and completed my transaction and issued my cheque all while I was waiting in my seat. Then I went on to pay the biggest chunk of my debts (AND I FELT RELIEVED..!!).

The evening show was great, and I had fun talking about midnight snacks and it went smoother than butter. The evening was great too, I got to meet a very special person and we caught up on all the things we didn't talk about.

Have a great day lovelies.

Just to point out, yesterday I felt very saddened by my friend's reaction, which left me feeling abandoned and had no faith in people. Today was a proof that great people do still exist and they are amazing and they will help you if you needed them. I love everyone who maded my day great and helped me out. THANK YOU GREAT PEOPLE, YOU ARE SUPERB.

Happy Day 34

I downloaded Prisma and I started Prisming all my old new and ancient photos, it is getting out of hand and I LOVE IT.

Today is Tuesday, August 2nd

The day started quite early since my lil one started attending classes at a centre near the house. My lil one goes to the centre at 7:30am then I start on my business. I cancelled all my private lessons except the afternoon one as my mum was feeling unwell and she was not ready to face the day. I stayed a bit longer at home to make sure that my nephews are ok.

I then had to go to Bahri for my private lesson and it was an interesting lesson as the students' level was beyond expectation. I also had a chat with the mum about the schools and how she did not like the school I will be working with for some awkward reason. The best part of the day happenedd right after my private lesson where I got a rickshaw and went to my sister's work place as it is closer and cheaper than going all the way home. I loved it and it was so much fun being with my sister, I got 2 FREE NOTEBOOKS which I am EXCITED ABOUT..!!(Actually I was over the moon with the gifts that I didn't know what to do with both of them)

Another great part of my day was when I called one of my friends and talked to her about her decisions in work. My friend who started the school (and I am no longer working with) wanted to get us all under one roof but things for some reason didn't work in her favour. As I didn't work with her and now my other friend is not either. The sad part is that my friend had to face some pretty sad and upsetting back chat and conversations due to her decision. I felt quite comfortable being there for someone who was in the same position I was in a few weeks ago but unfortunately had no one to talk some sense with.

Be Honest is the best thing that you can do for anyone around you. Have a Great Evening Lovelies.

Happy Day 32

Today was the day I broke my friend's heart I guess. Anywho, it was a long tough day with nothing going according to my plans. I had to shout more of the evening, crashed down and some great things happened too.

Today is Sunday, July 31st

I am extremely happy that July is coming to an end, I get paid today and I will also pay MANY of my ENDLESS BILLS. The morning started fairly good. I wake up at 7am now because my lil one started a semi course where he needs to be there at 7:30 in the morning (I thought this was absurd but I did it and my lil one felt very energetic). Unfortunately, after getting to the centre and my lil one's shadow teacher getting there, the centre was closed due to some preparation work. It was great meeting the shadow teacher and she was surprised at how big my lil one had become.

After finding out we had a day off, I decided to go home for a bit then head to my friend's school after dropping my lil one off at his physio session. At school, I finally confronted my principal friend with leaving the school but being around fro help. She was ok with it and didn't react badly to what I thought was a devastating news.

The afternoon was filled with endless private lessons, from Bahri, Amarat then back to Amarat and then home. I quickly rushed to the radio to collect m pay and started t he show which I couldn't do on my own. But amidst all the hustle and bustle, my manager and boss were extremely sweet towards me, my sister got a promotion and I got to eat pizza because my sister was celebrating.

A busy day finished with a massive crash and burn to get up early for my lil man's centre session.

Have a great afternoon Lovelies.

Happy Day 31

So this Saturday I had to go all the way to Bahri which is a far part of the city to evaluate some students who are looking to get prepared for Key Stage 1 Sats exams in Egypt.

Today is Saturday, July 30th

My brother is leaving after a weekend over here, It is such a shame that as soon as I was leaving to my private lesson, my Brother decided to spend a bit of time at home. Before I went to my lesson, I took my lil one out to get him some toys because I didn't have enough money to take him to the arcade at the mall. He was happy with the toys as he got a spiderman wallet, watch and a police car. He is infatuated by the watch and he keeps guessing the time although it is about time for him to know how to read a watch (blame it on the mother who is busy trying to make cash).

I went to y private lesson which was literally at the end of the world and it took me about an hour to get to their house and back but the kids were smart and the work load isn't much and so I took on the challenge to prepare them for a massive exam which is the SATS.

In the evening, I had to pass by my brother's place to bid him farewell as he was travelling and I spent a bit of time just standing and watching how emotional everyone around me was and I was emotionless. I couldn't wait to get home and spend a bit of time with my lil one as he will be starting a semi course with older students tomorrow.

The evening was nice, we played, ate and went straight to sleep for our big morning.

Have a great afternoon Lovelies.

Happy Day 23

The weekend is unfolding very nicely, and I started off with screaming my lungs out because my lil one lost his balance and spilled the milk all over the place.. GOOD MORNING WORLD!! The Joys of Having a son with C.P.

Today is Friday; July 24th...

After my long day, I spent a couple of hours reading and catching up with the book I started ages ago but it is actually getting a lot better and more interesting. I also had a couple of minutes of relaxation before my lil one and my nephew decided to bombard me with screams and shouts and questions.

The evening was the best part and so I will just talk about that. I was about to finish a couple of pages on my book and I was thinking of taking my mum and my lil one to eat out somewhere, but to my surprise my mum came to my room and asked me if I would like to go out with her.

It was such a  difficult decision to decide where to go, we went from just around the corner to a bit far and then we settled to somewhere further away from where we live in.We decided to go to Ozone a restaurant located in Khartoum 2 which approximately 15 to 20 minutes away from where we live. It was exciting because I knew exactly what to order.

When we got there, the restaurant kitchen was getting reconstructed and so my mum was not able to order anything of her liking, instead she settled for a Caesar Salad (which she complained about non stop and the order made her hate the place for ever). I ordered a red velvet waffle which was SCRUMPTIOUS..!!

Although my mum was in a bit of a bad mood because of her order, I refused for that to ruin our day together. And so I started to chat to her about all the things we did and the people around us. We laughed. We took pictures. We enjoyed our meals. And that is how my day turned to be the greatest day with my mum and lil one.

It was truly enjoyable and I love the time I spent with my dearest my mum (The fact is that I work day and night and I hardly spend time with my mum or talk to her). Have a great evening Lovelies and enjoy your families (^_^)

Happy Day 21

I continue to try to over come my obstacles and the negative thoughts that crosses my mind every now and then. It is a constant battle to remind yourself of all the good, positive things that ad happened in your day which you should eventually focus on forgetting all the bad, negative events that happened.

Today is Wednesday, July 20th.

My day was extremely busy since the morning, I knew I had a busy schedule and hardly any time to breathe, think or pause for a moment. I prepared my radio script since the morning before I head towards my private lessons and start teaching my lovely students. The lesson as always went on very smoothly and it ended with my little students giving me a letter (and Oh.. How I LOVE LOVE LOVE STUDENTS' LETTERS). Because I was running out of time I had to put the letter in my back pocket and continue running around like a headless chicken.

As soon as I was done from the lesson, I had to pick up my lil one to drop him off at his physio session and quickly get to my friend's school to help out with the class preparations and tidying. As soon as I got to the school, I started hanging all the posters and I introduced the new idea of the English classroom and I also had to discuss the English Language curriculum that I set up for year 1 up to year 6. The day at school dragged endlessly and it felt like eternity and the work did not come to an end. However, I was quickly running out of time and I had to get my lil one from physio, drop him off home, feed both him and my nephew then head to the radio station.

I prepared some biscuits to take with me to work, which I normally eat alone but I recently have been taking the biscuits to give to my colleagues. I just recently discovered the delight of giving people simple things such as biscuits and so I started taking some with me every single evening to see my colleagues at work smile while eating them.

Radio as usual wen very well as I ended up doing some of the show on my own and I finished with a bang. Since I started this 100 Happy Days Challenge, I have been happier at work and I have been reflecting a positive vibe in my show which I enjoy.

Finally, when I got home after work and I was getting ready to sleep (GUESS WHAT..!!!!), my student's letter fell off my jeans and it was the perfect time for me to read it or just view it. All I can say is that it absolutely made my evening and I was able to sleep with a massive smile on my face.

Have  a Great Evening Lovelies.

Happy Day 19

Today I have no time to breath, I have to be everywhere all at the same time well not exactly t the same time but right after each other.

The date is July 18th,

First thing in the morning my lesson started smoothly and ended smoothly, my students are progressing nicely and I am extremely proud of them. Their reading has developed but it still needs a bit of more practice. Straight after the lesson I had to take my lil one to his physio session then I quickly needed to make it to the school where I am helping with the curriculum. To my surprise, the customers I introduce to the school, registered and they were extremely satisfied with the structure of the school. I had to share the curriculum and take part n some work all while I was setting the script of my evening's show.

On my way back home, I picked my lil man from physio and I had to quickly get home, feed him and have a couple of laughs with him. Then it was time for me to head to the station to get ready for my interview which was meant to start at 6:15pm. Another overwhelming moment of the day is when I walked into the live room where I broadcast my show from, and I find myself surrounded with 6 people!

The interview went well and gradually the other individuals started moving out of the live room, which made it more comfortable. I loved knowing about Mr Manfred Leuchter who is a famous German Musician, it was such a pleasure to be present around a special person.

That is almost all for my day and I am definitely sure I will have such a blast the next day. Have a great evening Lovelies.

Happy Day 20

A bit under the weather but I am determined to finish my day with a massive bang. I feel so shattered for some reason although I haven't gone to work and I didn't even step foot out of the house.

Today is July 19th,

I am writing the events of my day as I am sitting here at "Italy Pizza" with my lil one, the reasson why we are here is because my poor lil man was nagging about pizza for the past couple of days and every single time I keep delaying it because I am either broke, had no time or felt under the weather. Today was such a quiet day, I sat around did my morning lesson and I stayed in bed almost all day. My lil one went to physio and I had lots of bills to pay.

One of the most fascinating facts is that I get extremely cranky when I am feeling under the weather, which I will be working very hard to stop. Another thing I will be working very hard on, is that I need to stop talking to people about my personal business. I always put in mind that people might harbor devious motives when knowing or wanting to know about your business. I have decided to be more direct when asked but not letting out much if I have no intentions of sharing with that specific person.

As I continue writing this I find it extremely difficult to keep an eye on my lil one and continue writing..

Finally, the funniest thing happened at work, I was extremely tired at the Radio and so I was a bit unprepared but enthusiastic at the same time. As I was saying the names of the coming songs, I said "THONG" instead of "SONG"... HILARIOUS..!!

A LOVELY DAY..!! I will continue enjoying my lil one's pizza and I will write a bit more on tomorrow's post. Have a great evening Lovelies.

Happy Day 18

Today I had the ups and downs of a month, which I am trying to reflect on and think of how I could have handled my day a lot better.

Today it is Sunday July the 17th

The day could not have started any tougher but I guess everything happens for a reason and you go through different struggles to understand the reality of people around you. The day started with a very easy private lessons that went according to plan. As you know by now I am helping my friend out in her school and trying to set up the English curriculum for her primary years. Today was meant to be the day I sit with my friend to clarify to her that I am helping her and not taking the job of a teacher at her school. As soon as I got to the school, one of the teachers pulled me to the side to ask me about my whereabouts the day before which I found extremely unsettling and so with all honesty I answered her, not knowing what she was hiding. That teacher then took me to the office and asked about what is happening with my acceptance of their offer and all that. That is when all hell broke loose and I had an endless discussion regarding my refusal of their offer and how she was heartbroken and shattered by my decision and how she will be viewed by others once she shares the news and how she felt small and how she ....... , I hope you get the picture. It was all about her! nothing about the reasons behind my decisions. The problem is that I couldn't get through to her, she didn't listen to a word that were coming out of my mouth and so I stopped talking.

It was an upsetting encounter, however, it was meant to happen for the best. I couldn't then meet up with my friend who is the principal of the school to talk further, hence I just sat waiting for her. When she came, she asked me to get some work done and so I took an idea of all the work that should be done and I was up to all the work.

My Radio Show went well as usual and the topic was hilarious as it was based on the response to my rejection of the job offer. I guess that is about all everything.

The funny part of the day is that I suffered from a migraine all throughout the afternoon and evening and I had to take my pain killer so I will enjoy my pain killer induced sleep and prepare myself for yet another fight tomorrow morning.

Good Night Lovelies

Happy Day 17

I am writing this as I am listening to my student read her 2nd Dr Seuss story "The Sneetches". Their ride is a bit late and so I decided to start my post during the wait.

It is July the 16th and it is a Saturday.

I never thought I will make it this far but here I am bringing my 3rd week to an end with an amazing week. I love how this challenge makes you calmer and allows you to view the world from a different angle, not that I am positive 24/7, the fact that I try to reflect on the things happening in my life on a minute to minute basis is making me a lot calmer. The funny thing is that I started suffering from fewer migraines too.. Yaay..!!

It was pretty much a quiet day with lots of accomplished pending work, which is far from pending now. I completed setting the curriculum for my friend's school, that is the English Language curriculum for Grades 1 up to 6. That on itself was such an accomplishment and it made me feel invincible. I also got the chance to go to Papa Costa to have a bit of me time and I got to chill. The best part is that I got to get some pizza for my lil one.

My lil one is starting to ask questions regarding the difference between Batman, Superman and Spiderman and so my knowledge of DC and Marvel comics is surprisingly growing so as to be able to answer all of his questions.

That is about it for my quiet Saturday, tomorrow is about to start so Good Night for now Lovelies.

Happy Day 16

Friday is my least favourite day of the week, it is always busy and reminds me of all the pending work I've been ignoring all week. However, July 15th was one of the best days ever.

My day started early with my lil one and my nephew acting all gorgeous and polite. Then I had to start my pending work which was preparing the spelling lists of the curriculum for my friend's school. and when I was doing that I decided to play some music for my lil one and my nephew. we started off very nicely with the latest singles, then my sister joined us and I started playing some of the 90s music that my sister and I grew up listening to. We had a blast, we danced and sang to the great singles of our childhood.

After a great afternoon of old singles, I had promised my lil one to take him to the mall a few days before because he's infatuated by the arcade and car games. And so the day had come for us to finally head to the mall, which was spectacular, on top of that my mum decided to join us on our little journey. My lil one was very great as he started walking for a long time till we got to the arcade (with the help of his braises of course, but he still did it). The walk was a little uncomfortable because people here had to stop and look at him as he walked. I was getting extremely aggravated by that but I had to swallow my anger. It was so awkward to the extent that a young beggar stopped walking and he had to walk with us till we got to the entrance of  the mall. The young beggar kept asking me to carry him and stop forcing him to walk, and I kept explaining that he needs the training. After our encouraging yet bizarre encounter with the beggar, we faced a lot more sad looks from the people inside. Although everything was perfect and my lil one had a great time, I really hope he didn't notice people's sympathetic looks towards him.

After our blast of a day, we had to finish it off with a meal at the food courts. My lil one was happy, my mum was happy and I was happy. I had to finish my day with a bit of cinnamon cake and some tea.

Have a blast today Lovelies.
